Eyes So Blue

Those eyes so blue I'll always miss,
but I shall always reminisce:

Those eyes were there just for me,
a pair for no one else to see.
Enchanting eyes and a winsome smile,
I was lost there for quite a while.
As I peered in them so long,
my heart sang its greatest song.

Those eyes so blue I'll never forget
the very moment when I first met
the face that holds those two gems;
the root from which their beauty stems.

I must adore them from afar,
alluring eyes though they are.
For if I should ever submit,
the greatest crime they may commit:
to ban me from their lustrous glint,
dismiss the rapture they imprint.

I hope that I will never regret
those eyes so blue that I once met.
